As a result of consultation of this site, data may be processed regarding identified or identifiable persons. The purpose of this statement is to describe how the site is managed in relation to processing of personal data of users.

The information applies only to the website www.arbi.it and not to any other websites accessed via links.

Type of data processed
Navigation data

The computer systems and software procedures used to operate this website acquire, during normal operation, some personal data whose transmission is implicit in ICP use.

This information is not collected to be associated with the persons concerned, but by its very nature could, through processing and association with data held by third parties, enable identification of users.

This category of data includes IP addresses or domain names of computers used by users connecting to the site, URIs (Uniform Resource Identifiers) of requested resources, time of request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the file size obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of response from the server (successful, error etc.). and other parameters regarding the operating system and computer environment.

This data is used exclusively to obtain anonymous statistics on site usage and to check correct functioning. It is cancelled immediately after processing. The data could be used to ascertain responsibility in case of computer crimes against the site.

Except for this eventuality, currently data on web contacts exists for the time necessary to collect statistics.

Data provided voluntarily by the user

Optional, explicit and voluntary e-mails sent to addresses listed on this site involve the subsequent acquisition of the sender’s address, needed to respond to requests, as well as any other personal data included in the message.
Specific summary information will be reported or displayed as required on web pages dedicated to particular services on request.

Cookies

Like nearly all websites, ours also uses some cookies. Cookies are small text files that the sites visited by the user (but also other sites or servers) send and record on the user’s computer (or mobile device). They are then retransmitted to the same sites (or servers), the next time you visit them, thus sending information.

Cookies nowadays are essential tools because they allow to sites to run smoothly, allowing maximum customisation, interaction and smooth navigation. But they can also be used to monitor user navigation and then send advertising messages accordingly.

Cookies can be:

  • session cookies (which expire when browser is closed) or permanent cookies (remaining for a certain term – years, even);
  • first party or third party cookies (the latter are set from a website or from a server other than the one the user is visiting at that moment);
  • technical cookies (necessary, even indispensable, for a full – or better – use of the site) or profiling cookies (aimed at creating a user profile, to then send advertising messages in line with the preferences shown by the user during previous navigation) .

The Privacy Authority considers session, functional and – subject to certain conditions – analytics cookies to be technical ones. In particular, the Authority, in the provision of 8th May 2014, stated that the latter will be treated as technical cookies only if used for optimisation of the site directly by the owner of the site, who may collect aggregate information on the number of users and how they visit the site.

For more information on types of cookies, their characteristics and functioning, see the following websites: allaboutcookies.org, youronlinechoices.com, cookiepedia.co.uk and the Privacy Authority provision mentioned above.
